Pup Scrub

My husband and I have two small adopted Doxie mixes and take them quite regulary to the Pup Scrub. It's a great service to have in the neighborhood. Always clean and friendly atmosphere. The owner lady is quite nice and always making sure we have what we need. She even cut our dogs' nails one time free of charge - says she likes the repeat business! Makes sense! Great place, highly recommend!

I took my dog to Pup Scrub a couple years ago and wasn't impressed with the service. I decided to go elsewhere. Then I heard it was under new ownership so I decided to try them again. Huge improvement!!! I've been taking my dog there for the last year. I couldn't be happier! The staff is really friendly and they have new toys and food that my girl loves.

Stay far, far, far away

I found the groomer to be overpriced and underworked. She seems to overbook herself with too many dogs and then acts frazzled and complains about being rushed. We have gone there twice, (thought the first time was just an off day) but will not be going back. Felt the grooming was of poor quality for the money. She didn't do much hand design work with scissors, more just the clippers and the hair in my dog's ears were not removed. "She ran out of time".

I would not recommend The Pup Scrub for grooming. She likes to take the easiest possible way. In our case she decided to shave our dog without warning us first. Poor thing, it's been 2 months and he still looks awful. The groomer made me feel like I was doing a bad job bathing, combing etc. She didn't seem like she even liked dogs.

I recently booked an appointment for my 4 mth old puppy to get his first grooming. When I walked in, the groomer immediately started saying things like "Oh, a Schnoodle. he has wiry Schnauzer hair and fluffy poodle hair...ugh" and "He has really sharp claws" (I had just trimmed his claws one week prior). When I picked him up she told me that he had mats in his face so she really had to take a lot out of his face. That was a bold faced lie. I had combed every inch of his body and there were no mats. She gouged out hunks of his facial fur - he looked like a dork. Then she said "He was nipping at my razor" and "He didn't like the scissors"...she went on and on and on. Again, he is a puppy and this was his first grooming. Any normal groomer would understand that. This gal just liked to complain and complain and complain. Well here's a real complaint...she did a terrible job. I thought to myself that if I went to a hair salon and the Stylist complained that she didn't like the texture of my hair that I would leave the salon immediately. That's what I should have done at Pup Scrub. The groomer was a total jerk and did a lousy job.

I used to take my dog to Pupscrub for self wash and one day saw the groomer strangling a dog to get him to stay still. The poor little thing was so scared and shaking! It's a good place for self wash but BEWARE of their grooming!
