Wake Stone Corporation was founded in 1970 with approximately 100 acres of farmland near Knightdale, N.C. The company operates four quarry locations in North Carolina: Knightdale Quarry, Triangle Quarry, Moncure Quarry, Nash County Quarry and North Myrtle Beach Quarry. In 2000, Wake Stone received the Business Partner for Education Award from the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and Wake County Education Partnership. The company has also received the North Carolina Landscape Association s Environmental Improvement Grant Award. Wake Stone Corporation maintains it headquarters in Knightdale, N.C.
