Most retinal tears can be treated with laser surgery or cryotherapy, which seals the retina to the back wall of the eye. Retinal tear treatment causes little to no discomfort and can be performed by your ophthalmologist at Aslett-Kurica Eye Center.

Kurica, M.D., stuck close to home when he opened Aslett-Kurica Eye Center with his business partner, Ronald Aslett. Co-founder of Aslett-Kurica Eye Center, Ronald S. Aslett, M.D., has practiced ophthalmology for more than 25 years. Dr. Aslett went to Texas Tech University Medical School. After studying in Texas, he completed both an internal medicine residency and an ophthalmology residency at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans. With a goal of serving the River Parishes, Dr. Aslett and his fellow co-founder opened an eye center in LaPlace and continually assist patients in need of eye health care.
