La Verne Community Church

The church is very friendly. We went there for about three months. The last few times we saw red flags of child abuse in the day care. The final draw was physical abuse to our child. We quickly brought this to the attention of the Church staff in an email for our records. We were told when they had time they would investigate it. We also asked around and were told by other members "they have seen red flags too". We prayed about it and after 10 days had passed and there was no start of an investigation (per email from staff) we left the Church.



It's sad to say we check references on mechanics, and if we decide to do an add-on to our house. But, were quick to leave our children in someone's hand that we know nothing about nor has had a back ground check been done on them.



It's a small Church. Normally, there is maybe 40 that attend each Sunday. Pastor has complained there has been no sign of growth in 12 yrs at the same location (a Jr high school). The founding people are very "clicky" and have each other's back. Be very aware if your thinking of attending this Church. Is it really worth the risk?
