Tri County Towing and Recovery

This guy KEVIN is trying to rip people off. He impounded my car and tried to charge me over $280 and demanded only CASH. (1st red flag) All tow companies must accept credit/debit cards. The price gauging is crazy, the average impound in this town should be around $120-150 at most. When I called to confront him and ask why he was charging so much he acted like a true professional and hung up on me. I then googled him and he has an F in the BBB. There are great tow companies out there but many tow companies out there are known for over charging and this guy is another. If he tries this on you call the police.

While the prices may vary slightly from Charleston county to Dorchester county they shouldn't be DOUBLE the cost and demand cash only. Do your research and search the OFFICIAL LAWS and rights so you don't get taken advantage of.

I parked my car in an illegal spot to run into my apartment really quick. When I got back out my car was being towed. The guy was super cool and let me off with a warning. Saved my Day!

I was parked at my boyfriends apartment and didn't know the rules had been enforced again. I was wrong there. However, my car had its parking break in places and the company dragged my car out from the spot for 20ft. I have pictures to show and the marks are still there to this day. Second the apartment complex has an agreement with the company that you ONLY pay $150 for towing. I didn't know this and they didn't tell me when I was towed. So I payed the $250 they asked. I went to the apartment complex the next day and found out about the price gouging and demanded to have my money back. This company has been fired from the apartment complex because of my case and many other things. This company is not professional and will do anything to get an extra buck.
