Dr. Sebastian Fuksa is a family wellness chiropractor in Lake in the Hills, IL. Dr. Sebastian earned in undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. After suffering from and injury which modern medicine could not help,D r. Sebastian's life was transformed after a visit to a Chiropractor. Instead of enrolling in medical school, Dr. Sebastian went on to earn a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2003. Dr. Sebastian has spent time in Cochabama, Bolivia on a missionary trip taking care of hundreds of patients, most of whom have never visited a doctor.Dr. Sebastian opened up Precise Chiropractic Center in April 2006 with the mission to enlighten patients, and the local community how to create health, happiness and wholeness in their lives by reducing interference to the expression of their maximum potential. He does this by applying specific chiropractic adjustments to reduce the interference to the body's master control system, the nervous system. He is dedicated to the Gonstead System of chiropractic due to its focus on biomechanical analysis of the spine and its specificity in delivering a chiropractic adjustment. He is a member of the Gonstead Clinical Studies Society.Dr. Sebastian is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association ( ICPA ) and is certified in the Webster Technique used with pregnant women to relieve intra-uterine constraint and aid in an easier birth process. He currently in the process of obtaining a Diplomat in Pediatrics from the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association and the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice. This advanced certification is a 360-hour course of study including a Board Certification and clinical competency with advanced clinical application courses.Dr. Sebastian has completed the Autism Research Institute Defeat Autism Now! ( DAN ) clinician seminar. Dr. Sebastian works with children with ADD, ADHD, Autism spectrum disorders, by first evaluating the brain-body connection because it can be the source of dysfunction throughout the body. In addition, nutritional counseling and guidance is provided to aide the body in nutritional deficiencies and detoxification. These toxic issues are assessed through patient history, visual contrast sensitivity testing, food allergy assessments and specific blood testing.Dr. Sebastian is part of a larger group of wellness ch i ro practors-Maximized Living whose vision is to fundamentally chang e the way people view and manage their health. The Maximized Livi ng certified doctors Chair the USAW ( USA Wresting ) Wellness Advisory Council, and provide care to USAW athletes in preparing f or national and international competition. Dr. Sebastian is the local speaker for Center for Living Education and Employee Awareness Association, as well as serves the community by providing health workshops on nutrition, toxicity, and exercise.
