I have gone to Reflections on many occasions and after my experience there this last weekend, I will not be going back. Their food is good - not excellent - but good. But the service and attitude of the owner as well as the wait staff are horrible. My BF & I went for dinner, I got the Pierogi which I always get and he ordered the veal piccata. He requested extra sauce and when it came, he topped his veal with it. It was just about the saltiest thing ever - and I salt everything - it was inedible. So, he asks for something different and ordered the Polish platter. So, we now have to wait for his food so we decide to take a smoke break - literally 5 feet away from our table out on the deck. I then catch a glimpse of the busboy clearing our table - we get back, my dinner is gone as well as both of our cocktails. The busboy felt terrible and it wouldn't have been a big deal had we got any apology from Anna (owner) - she was right there next to our table and made it quite obvious she didn't give a crap about what happened. She never once said anything to us and she delivered our replacement drinks herself – I found that to be appalling as she’s the owner of the establishment and it’s in her best interest to make the customers happy – she certainly sank that ship.
Now, we get our replacement orders. My plate had only 6 pierogi (9 comes in an order) and there was a pea on my plate. There are no peas served with my dish, but there was on the BF's original veal piccata - did they reuse the plate, makes me wonder. the waitress claimed to have not known that our table was cleared and she was surprised when my food was re-ordered. But, when asked why I only got 6 she stated that she knew I had eaten some so she was only replacing what they threw out - did they look in the garbage or did they pull out the one's I didn't eat out of said garbage? Frankly, I couldn't bring myself to even eat the food any longer. Especially when the waitress started arguing with us about the whole situation - as if it was our fault that our table was cleared in error – who knows what the heck they did to our order. I had a full plate of food, a fresh glass of wine and my purse was still at the table - how is that us being done??. We were not comp'd ANYTHING - not even a free drink - and we were not offered the desert tray that every other table got to see. They simply just stopped paying any attention to us so we paid & left.
I wish we hadn't paid at all as it was the most unsatisfying experience I've had in a restaurant and they did not deserve our patronage. I live just down the street from there and I've referred many people to eat there - that will never happen again that's for sure!
