Lake Wales Medical Group

I am 59 years old and was admitted through the ER for chest pain and nausea and abdominal pain with severe diarrhea. The nursing staff is totally indifferent about your medical needs. It took 4 days to get a cardiac Cath. They were rude and obnoxious in the ICU as were the doctors. I never got my medications from home, even though I gave them all my medications to go to the pharmacy. Please, never ever take anyone to this hospital.

THEY CLAIM THEYRE A HOSPITAL

My 10 year old son was admitted and we have had the worst service ever! I have 3 other children to care for as I am a single mother and have no other family or friends to help out. I was told I could not leave to go pick up my children to take them to school then was told if I did they would call child protective services! FOR TAKING MY KIDS TO SCHOOL! I have demanded to speak to a supervisor and have yet to see one. My three children are at the hospital with me and I was told they couldn't stay here either! WTF! Do I make them walk home?!? I told them I want to discharge my son amd take him to a childrens hospital. STILL haven't seen anyone. I am BEYOND ANGRY! What makes it worse is my oldest is a type 1 diabetic, the cafeteria is closed and do you think they will bring her something to eat?!?!? NOPE! So not only can I not take them home, I cannot feed them either! I have to say my elderly mother is here as well who cannot drive so she can't take them home. She is also on oxygen and her oxygen tank is almost empty. I wouldn't bring my dog to this place!

I have never been treated so poorly in my life! This place is a joke!

My 72 yr old father came in last night thru the er as instructed by his dr with mini stroke symptoms.he was informed he would have to be admitted as the ppl who do the tests ordered..carotid Doppler and echocardiogram..has left for the day.this was 7pm. He wasn't paced in s room until midnight.it is now 2:45..and after a bit of temper was shown by my mother and I he has finally been taken for the Doppler.no one seems to know about the echo.these tests were ordered and hand delivered at 7pm last nite. However..they did manage to remember to send someone from the billing dept. to his room by 11am to ask for the $250 deductible..and this is how patient care is accomplished at Lake Wales medical center.icing on the cake? His Dr. Forgot to order his blood pressure meds..and it went sky high. Remember..mini stroke symptoms. Who's impressed?
