Teen Challenge Lakeland Girls Home

This facility is a franchise of teen challenge and is affiliated with several other girl teen challenge facilities. They are a poor representation of Teen Challenge moral principles and practices. They failed to notify a parent of their childs sexual harassment complaint against a staff member. Students are prohibited from voicing their concerns with their parents during their weekly calls and passes. I highly encourage you to look elsewhere, there are schools out that sincerely have the best interest for your child.

I attended Teen Challenge in Lakeland and had a horrible experience. Please don't send your daughter here. While I was in this program, favoritism was shown to one student in particular and Essie and Greg made it so obvious that they liked this girl more than the rest of us. She was highly praised and never did any wrong in their eyes. Greg is scared to death of Essie... She makes the decisions in this family and establishment. They claim to be such godly people but their actions did not express this in any way. I could go on and on, but do yourself and your family a favor and don't send your child here. It is a waste of time and MONEY... These people are selfish and mean.

Lakeland Grace Academy Restored Family

My daughter not only stands up for her beliefs, but also stands up for those that are weaker and bullied. Her emotional Intelligence has increased tremendously...I am stunned!!! I was mesmerized when I came to the realization that I too had to change my ways, as a parent, in order to contribute to the healing of my daughter. The workshops by the Directors and the special speakers from the local Christian University, Southeastern University's Professors was above what I expected here. They really are determined to make a differance not only in our daughter but in the family as a whole. They saved my family!

Our daughter was not the only one who benefited from a year working with Lakeland Grace Academy. They invested a great deal of time in us, the parents, to help us see God’s ways of training our children. When our daughter completed Lakeland Grace Academy, transformed by all that happened there, she came home to a brand new family. All of our children are reaping the blessings of what we have learned.

What a strong program! They turned my whole family around, not just my daughter. Her grades grew tremendously but her life skills and emotional intelligence has changed her life. She truly knows that her past is in her past and looks forward to her future! Great teachers and innovative christian programming. These girls learn to debate for their faith!
