Meineke Car Care Center

I have gone to meinke econo lube in tacoma for my car maintenence, for several years. After they changed management this year the quality of service has greatly diminished. I have never had a problem with a basic oil change, but don't get anything more advanced than that done there. In march I had them replace my serpentine belt changed and it constantly screeched and squeaked. I had to go in 3 times for them to adjust it before they ultimately changed the belt altogether. In june I had them flush my radiator and they did not burp the line and I made it a couple of miles before my car overheated, and had to go back so they could fix it. Then today I came in for a preferred oil change, which included a tire balance and rotation. I agai b made it a couple of miles before my car started making a thudding noise. I returned to meinke and was told they did not tighten m y lug nuts all the way. They then had to replace them and re thread my bolts because they were now stripped. I have tickets for pain in the grass and I might not make it. I asked the manager if they were only going to charge me for a basic oil change and he told me they were only obligated to repair the damages. Unfortunately this is going to be a $150 oil change. My tickets are none refundable and it's to late to sell them. If you value your care, you safety, and time I would strongly suggest paying extra and going elsewhere. I gave them multiple chances due to my past experiences , which were far more pleasant with the other manager, but no more.

I have been here a few times. The prices are great and so is the service. Wait times can be long if you don't get there early or on a weekday!!! I have had good experiences here!!!

I called to make an appointment to have my brakes checked because of a grinding noise. I was assured that the shop would be open when I arrived, which was after closing time. What I didn't expect was a complete and thorough inspection that was explained to me. I was treated with respect and the information was explained to me in a way that I could understand. I made an appointment for the next morning. When I returned the next morning, I was greeted by everyone whom I had spoken to the previous evening. Even the new employee who had just started that day greeted me! The shop and the waiting room are clean. The employees work uniforms are clean as well. I have already spread the word that this is the place to go to when you need have your car's brakes repaired. Thank you to Albert and his crew!

his is one of the few stations that i am willing to trust my vehicle to be taken care of by. the staff is knowledgeable and efficient. when they see a problem that has not been taken care of or requires attention to in the future, they warn without trying to sell. excellent service and my 1982 F100 is running great. I highly recommend this station.
