On the 22nd of May, the Friday before the following Monday's Holiday I needed to pay an electric bill of $493.29 and the bill had to be paid that day. I went into this Mail N More because they typically process the payments "real time". He informed me that I would be charged an additional "transaction fee" of approx. $3.00 per every $100.00 processed, so around $12.00 total. I was ok with that. Transaction was made and he gave me a receipt for the payment of the Electric Bill but not one for the Service fee.
Not lone after I got home I checked my account online for the balance and that transaction. I discovered at that time that Mail N More overcharged the "Service Fee" by approx. $60.00 being that this was a pretty big mistake I called them and asked what was up with that. The guy that served me (only one there at the time) admitted his mistake and said: "Please come in and he would correct this". That call was made by my cell phone with a time stamp of 2:54pm that day (please remember this). So I drove back and when I got there as I was stepping up to the counter he handed me the voided transaction receipt. I did not tell him to void the WHOLE transaction, I was expecting and was going to suggest he give me the diffrence in the amount he overcharged me on the "Service fee" in cash and because he made the mistake he would have to wait until the he got paid out of the first transaction. The reversal takes at least 3 business days to credit BACK to my account, since the Electric Bill had to be paid that day I had to use another account at the risk of overdrafting it, because the account I used could not handle over a $1000.00 withdrawl. By using my other account it put both of my accounts out of use over the weekend on into Tuesday. Today is June 2nd nearly a full two weeks and I still have not seen the reversal credited to my first account. I was not happy that this guy, who turned out to be the Manager, reveresed the whole transaction without my ok and then told me in a followup phone conversation that he would have never refunded me the diffrence on the overcharged service fee had I suggested that as an option before he had a chance to do the reversal. While he admitted the mistake, he would have not even been willing to part with a measly $60.00 bucks till the following week to avoid locking up both my accounts over the long holliday weekend and I am still waiting for the reversal on my one account. I DO NOT call this Customer Service from a shop that is only about customer service. Stay away from this guy.
