To become a diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, a cosmetic surgeon first completes a surgical residency in a related specialty such as general surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, or plastic surgery. After residency, the surgeon receives further training called a “fellowship.” This fellowship is dedicated to cosmetic surgery. The mindset throughout is focused on principles and techniques to surgically enhance appearance. Concepts of beauty and their creation are presented from varied perspectives, refined, and then taught to the cosmetic surgeon to bring the best any specialty has to offer.

A plastic surgeon first trains in general surgery, head and neck surgery (ENT), orthopedics, or oral maxillofacial residency training and then trains in a plastic surgery fellowship. Recently plastic surgery training programs have combined general surgery residency with plastic surgery fellowship training and decreased the overall number of training years. Rhinoplasty
A: Typically, you can be back in public around 10 days to 2 weeks and most people who don’t know you won’t give a second glance. You will still have some mild swelling, but it’s often difficult to notice. People who know you may notice a slight difference until around 3 weeks from surgery.

Dr. Pancholi takes the time to listen to what you would like to achieve. His skill is unequalled. This is my third procedure in 7 years. Each one is still perfect. My biggest concern with the current procedure – a facelift – was that I was afraid of looking pulled or puffy. I had no reason for concern. Friends didn’t even realize I’d had a facelift.
