The rooms are very nice, the check in process is horrendous though! We live here and go there once in awhile to get away from it all; but this last trip will be our last. It seems like the younger crowd has taken over and everyday is Spring Break. Nothing like seeing more plumbers crack as I walked through the casino, down the hallways, in the elevator and the language is inexcusable. I finally went and grabbed Security and told them about a young man who was literally exposing both sides of him, hair and flesh; and the Security said "What do you want me to do about it". Well, maintain your 4 star status and tell the man to pull up his pants and get some decorum/manners. They just don't seem to care anymore. No one should have to stand in line for an hour to check in - everytime we go, no matter what time we check in as we have tried diff. times of the day - it is a nightmare. They should have EVERY station open during the prime hours of check in and check out EVERY DAY of the week! The slot machines took every penny and then another MAC withdrawl, I was SHOCKED. They must be hurting bad and they have them rigged NOT to pay a dime - so play table games, it is your only chance of getting anything back. I have lived here for 5 years, right before the BIG DIVE in the economy and all the way through it and I have never seen machines SO TIGHT. We will find another getaway place after this last visit. Let the place go wild if that is the type of clientele they want; why would I want to wear a beautiful dress and spend good money on an expensive, deliciousl dinner to walk behind a group of guys showing plumbers crack issues on the way back to my room for a romantic night??? No thanks - lost my appetite for everything!

I stayed their a coupple weeks ago and the rooms and service was great. And so was the pool. But other than that their is nothing really for the family to enjoy unless their all over 21.

We have eaten at the restaurant in the Golden Nugget twice now and both times it was great. The first time we ate there because if you signed up for the players card you got a free prime rib dinner. This time the prime rib was $7.95 because we had the card. The dinner was great. It came with soup or salad, rolls, potatoe and vergtable and the meat did not taste like a cheap cut.
