A bunch of crooks. Overcharges for a 5 minute visit. They don't take insurance. The bigger crook is Gwinnet medical Center for contracting these out of network thugs. Consumer beware. It is a shame this is happening in America.

Don't go to this ER, they will tell you that the Hospital ER is in-network, but the ER doctors are not in-network. They will over charge you and while you're busy appealing to your insurance, they send your bill off to a collections agency. Very dishonest practices and no help to the patient once they have you in their snare.

ER doctors are a group called GES (Gwinnett Emergency Specialists). They are NOT on the most common, major insurance provider plans, even though the hospital IS. No one warns you as you check in that the doctors who treat you will be charging you hundreds of dollars NOT covered by insurance for their 15 minutes of attention in the ER. No exceptions. All the ER doctors are part of GES, and it has to independently contract with insurance companies. There are no ER doctors at Gwinnett Medical who ARE covered. Only GES. They quickly start to pressure you once the bills start, and make promises about settling for just what your insurance will pay. Once the insurance amount is paid, they change their tune and offer a discount. If you reject their payment plan for these hundreds of dollars over insurance, you are rapidly turned over to collections. Predatory, dishonest, and exhortative practice. It's especially bitter when you are trapped into this hospital by the very insurance the GES group will not accept.
