In their advertising, Sterling Appliance says they will “pay cash for clunker appliances”. But did you know they also sell clunker appliances? Shortly after purchasing a G.E. dishwasher from Sterling Appliance, I complained to them that the door was catching and making a banging noise when opened or shut. Also, the top rack did not operate smoothly. When the G.E. repairman examined the rack, he saw that the wheels were bent. When he pulled the dishwasher out from the cabinet and exposed the wheel mechanism that operated the door it was apparent that one of the wheels was bent at a 45 degree angle indicating that the dishwasher was damaged at the time of installation. He said that it appeared that this dishwasher had been dropped. When I informed Rick at the Leesburg store, of our findings, I asked for credit or a replacement. Rick told me that in order to do that “G.E. would have to declare the dishwasher a demo before it could be replaced”. Since then, the dishwasher lost power shortly after beginning it first cycle. G.E. replaced the computer panel in the door. That repairman also said the problem could have been caused by having been dropped. But, I still have problems with the dishwasher turning off before finishing the first cycle. G.E. has described it as an intermittent problem but still no replacement.

Whether you pay cash or have your purchase financed, Sterling Appliance has their money in full before the appliance leaves the store. Any problems resulting in the sale are yours. BUYER BEWARE!! I am the proud owner of a lemon.
