Martellen's Dress & Bridal

Prom dress time--something that fills most Mother's with dread. The search for that perfect dress, one no one else will have, getting an easily embarrassed teenage girl in and out of complicated couture, finding the right fit and most flattering cut-ugh! Thankfully I went to a boutique right in my own town after hearing a co-worker rave about the lovely dresses and service she and her daughter received at Martellen's--and we had a wonderful experience! My daughter spotted THE dress immediately and tried it on. Cathy assisted her and I must say she has a talent for making teen age girls feel comfortable climbing in and out of gowns and getting, laced, buttoned and snapped in. She chats them up and is so upbeat and complimentary that I can't imagine any young lady not walking out the door with a huge boost in their self-esteem, whether she has made a purchase or not! Fortunately, Cathy is also very patient, because my girl tried on about 10 other dresses, before she returned to her first love and got back into it . Wow! She looked amazing!! Cathy made certain she got the correct size, got an appointment set up for hemming (the seamstress did a perfect job) and assured us that Martellen's would not sell this same gown to another Lemont HIgh School student. Plus, there was a special, so we got $50.00 off and my daughter received a cute t-shirt for buying her gown there. On the day of prom, my daughter was so beautiful in her dress. Having a gown that fits, flatters and with beautiful details like the one I purchased at Martellen's can be magical. The magic helped her and her boyfriend win a cutest couple competition sponsored by another local business! I look forward to the day we can purchase her perfect wedding dress right in her hometown at Martellen's, because we both know they will help us find THE dress and make the experience an enjoyable one.
