I have been an occasional customer for 20+ year, and looking at some of the other posts, I just had to make a statement to clear the air.

No, perhaps one should not bring them timing belts and CV joints; however, for excellent quality radiator and exhaust work --- Walt's radiator and exhaust is hard to beat - at any price. Even though they are generally the least expensive and quickest shop in the region. Cheers to Walt's and their staff.!

Dont let the cheap price fool you. In this case you really get what you pay for and believe me you will regret using this place for anything more complicated than a muffler. I had them replace a front CV drive axle and on the drive home I started to hear this loud squeal from the front of the car. I jacked the vehicle up in my garage and found they had bent the dust shield against the brand new brake rotor I had just installed. It had already rubbed two grooves in the new surface. I also noticed there was grease coming from one of the rubber boots on the new axle. Found a small cut on it. Returned the car to them the next day and asked them to replace the defective axle and while at it install a new left side axle also. Picked up the vehicle and after getting home I had to wipe grease off both fenders, hood, steering wheel, and shifter. Then Yesterday while changing oil I noticed the left side uni-body support rail under the driver's seat had a significant crease in it from being used to jack or support the vehicle. If you care about your vehicle and wish to deal with knowledgeable skilled technicians...DO NOT USE WALT'S!!!! Caveman Fred Flintstone works here.

Just got some flowmasters put on my 2016 mustang gt. These guys know what the hell theyre doing! Great experience! 100% satisfied.

Horrible experience and wasted money. They worked on my daughter's car, and 2 days later she was stranded an hour away. They were only doing maintenance work too, there was nothing wrong with her car before we took it there. Ended up taking it to the dealership to have it checked out. The list of mistakes was just unreal. Sure, you'll save a little money at first, but trust me, it will cost you way more in the end.



What is also important to know, is they DO NOT care about their customers. We called them to discuss the issues that were found, and they said they are sorry but stand behind their work. How can you say that when a timing belt wasn't even on properly, causing my daughter to get stranded an hour away just 2 days after the service? The temp gauge wasn't hooked back up either, so who knows if her car ran hot during this trip. They just simply do not care!

My daughter went there to get her timing belt and water pump replaced per scheduled maintenance. After she got her vehicle back she had to drive to Gastonia where her accessory belt came loose and started squealing. She almost lost control as the steering wheel became very stiff and hard to control. The belt pulley lock nut was left loose as well as the intake hose, temp sensor plug, and intake vacuum hoses. I called and spoke to the owner who was very rude and kept calling me bossman. I also asked about the sanding pads I found in the engine bay and he informed me that they used them on a grinder to remove the old gasket then used permatex to seal the new water pump. I don't recommend using them.

a/c quit working on my wife's car. these guys had it fixed(replaced condensor and compressor) in short time. price was great as well.

I have been to the shop twice for the same issue and my car still is not required I am looking for a different shop now to seee what is really wrong wi8th my car. I have given them two chances to fix my car there was no empathy or apology when I had to bring my car back my car started back overneating the same day. I have wasted more than $500 with my repair and time wasted off work take my advice if you want your car fix right the first time GO SOME WHERE ELSE. I was not lucky enough to experience the same service as the previous poster I went there off there recommendation I wish I would not have that is a waste of my money.

VAN runs a first class shop great work at reasonable rates his personal are top notch mechanics his exhaust work is first class would take any car there for engine work as I have from my Cadillac to the Honda and even my Ford pick up..
