I absolutely love Palmetto Sun Tanning Salon in Lexington, SC. The facility is always clean, atmosphere cheery, staff knowledgeable and the beds hot! I’ve tried other salons in the past, and realized (after finding Palmetto Sun) that I need not look any further. Palmetto Sun is by far the best! I respect that the business is family operated, and appreciate that Robert, Marsha & Chad treat me more like a member of their own family than just a random customer. Every experience there has been personable, and Marsha’s been more than patient while discussing lotion choices with me. Everyday prices are fair and the specials are unbelievable. Palmetto Sun also makes an effort to give back to the community with food drives, toy drives and other such events to nurture those around us. I highly recommend Palmetto Sun to any and everyone interested in tanning (lotions, beds or spray tan), jewelry, purses and more! Palmetto Sun is sure to please.

I am a new member to Palmetto Sun, and have been just a handful of times. However, in my short time there, I have found Palmetto Sun to be one of the BEST places I have been tanning! Marsha was very informative and she helped me from day one! I would HIGHLY recommend Palmetto Sun to anyone who wants to tan at a reasonable price and deal with a person who loves what she does and looks out for her customers!!!

I do spray tans because of a skin disorder that prevents me from using a regular tanning bed. I found that on a trip to Florida I used a Versa Spa and was very pleased with the results! No orange color and
Just a great glow. I was in Columbia for a extended business trip and found out they had a Versa spa and the results were the same! Marsha was very nice and explained everthing to me ( being kind I heard the procedure again) and got a great spray tan! I highly recommend this system and it's the only one In Columbia. This tanning salon is the best around. I have tanned at many different salons, in many different areas, for years. This salon by far exceeds expectations for what a tanning salon should be. The owners are friendly, knowledgable, professional, and all around good people. They are here for the customers and that shows in how they interact with the customers who come in. Whether you are a new tanner or an experienced veteran, this is THE PLACE IN LEXINGTON to tan!! If you are looking for the best place to tan, the best prices around, and the best packages available then Palmetto Sun Tanning Salon is the place you should be. They have gotten my business and will continue to have my business. I tell all of my friends looking for a tanning salon to try this place out. Once you try it once, you'll become a returning customer. It is absolutely wonderful!

I have tanned here for 7 years now. Not sure why the negative review was written. Probably because she was one of the "favorites" of the previous owner and didn't pay what the rest of us paid. The former owner had favorites that didn't pay full price or anything at all. The rest of us paid our share and everyone else's. Marsha runs a professional and GREAT salon. And about the minutes issue, last time I checked, you can't expect them to last forever. If you want a quality salon, freindly environment, and people that care, then this is the salon for you. It is a great place to tan. Much better now than in the past.

This is the best tanning salon within the Lexington/Columbia area. They are the cheapest around, and the quailty is just as good as these over priced corporate dumps that dont care about you. Palmetto Sun has their customers in their best interest. I have to say, regarding that negative comment...you should write less, and do some research before you write garbage like that. Your entire post is the definition of ignorant. I have met the owners personally and they are the friendliest people in the world. But I suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinion...which is good...because it shows me who is ignorant and who isnt. You want to go to a laid back place to get a nice tan in peace...then Palmetto Sun is where you need to go!

I too have tanned here for approx 7 years. I LOVE the way the place has been revamped. It looks more like an upscale salon. Very nice! I did have to wait a few times to tan but having tanned there for so many years, I can honestly say its because there are more customers. I never had a problem parking but now the parking lot is slammed. That, to me is a sign of a GREAT salon. This is not the owners first rodeo. She has been in the business for many years. Its very refreshing to know that the person behind the counter has my best interests at heart. I love the new packages. There is something for everybody. Not sure what the other post means revising and losing minutes. In my 7 years tanning there, there was never a minute package so I'm not sure now you can lose something they never had. If I recall correctly the price book tells how long each package lasts. I usually figure mine in my head. Or write it down on something and keep it in my purse. If they have extra samples they dont mind giving you one to try. They will also hold your package if you let them know ahead of time that you will be away for an extended period of time. Its a GREAT and relaxing place to tan. Not a bunch of kids working there. I love it!

I have been tanning there for 4 years. So disappointed that it has new management. 30-40 minute waits now, cleans behind person before you in under 2 minutes, finally has package prices in place but if you purchased when she was revising you may lose purchased minutes because she failed to let you know when they expired. It is in a book that has since materialized and don't dare question, Marsha will argue with you. Recommendations on tanning lotions are funny, doesn't know much about the business yet as she has tanner herself orange so we don't think we will take advise.

There are enough tanning salons in the area I and my friends choose to take our business elsewhere. And she can say we won't be missed but word of mouth is a powerful marketing tool bye Marsha!
