Overall

Very rude older receptionist loudly asked me why I was there in front of a waiting room of people. She had no interest in maintaining my privacy and was extremely unprofessional. I left and got great care somewhere else. I won't be back. This place doesn't even seem to know basic privacy law.

After waiting 1 1/2 hrs, I asked how much longer, and then they took me right back (after about 4 other people went back that came in after me), and then after 30 more minutes of waiting I opened the door and asked when I was going to been seen..."Just a few more minutes" the nurse said.....20 minutes later I left, got my money back, and will never go there again. Drive the short 8 miles to McDonough or Stockbridge, you will glad that you did.

For starters, this urgent care...

For starters, this urgent care center is more expensive than others in the area. $200 for an initial office visit. The doctor I saw completely misdiagnosed both symptoms that had previously been correctly diagnosed by other past doctors. (I simply needed a certified doctor's excuse for something) A complete $200 waste of money. And like most doctors, if you need/require medicine, they'll try to prescribe the most expensive medicine on the market. If you need "urgent" care, look elsewhere.

CorrectMed Urgent Care has gre...

CorrectMed Urgent Care has great nurses and doctors AS LONG AS YOU HAVE INSURANCE OR HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY THEM. I took my daughter in the other day for a problem with her ears and an abscess. I didn't know that my insurance was cancelled, I never received a letter about it, but they let my daughter in without checking the insurance. They decided that the abscess was bad and it needed an I&D (incision and drainage). I agreed as it looked bad. They informed me on the procedures and afterwards prescribed some prescriptions for us to pick up and told me to bring her back the next day. I found out that night while trying to get the prescriptions that the insurance had been cancelled and bought them with cash. When I went to take her back the next day, they refused to see her unless I paid $200 or had insurance. (I was out of cash until that Friday which was four days away.) But my little girl had a HUGE bandage on her leg and gauze inside of the abscess that they opened up. I asked if they could bill me for this time and the receptionist told me "We are billing you for yesterday, but we can't bill you for today." What in the world? Why not if you are going to bill me for one day already? I just found out that I am in between a period of no insurance and receiving insurance in two months! I had no idea that the insurance had been cancelled, but they treated me as if I did this intentionally. Before I left the office that night, I asked for some advice on what I could do about the bandage. The receptionist told me to go to a pediatrician, who will also not bill you, or to the ER. People don't care about your health anymore, it's all about money.

I give CorrectMed Urgent Care two stars ONLY because they will inform you IF YOU ASK. Other than that this company is just another money driven business who does not care about the well being of their patient unless you serenade them with money.
