Southern Sanitation

Very disappointed in the service I received today... Broke lid on my trash can and they will not replace the trash can they told me it was my fault for putting it on the curb. Wow just wow. I have been with them 10 years and had two very rude people Anderson and Lisa basically yelled at me and told me it was my fault their guys picked up my can and broke it. They will not replace it because it is not their can...but they broke it...crazy just lost a very loyal customer over a can lid...

I love this company. Unlike other Sanitation Companies, Southern Sanitation go out of their way to get other items besides what's in the trash bin. Like some furniture, an old Christmas tree and even boxes that haven't been crushed! They've even waited for me to bring my trash down the driveway when I forgot one day!

We pay $50 a quarter to have the great honor of hauling our cans to the end of a LONG DIRT DRIVEWAY .. ONLY to have these people NOT pick up the trash EVERY SINGLE WEEK. This is the 5th time I've had to hear about a truck breaking down or an accident. They even told me last time they'd have someone pick it up that afternoon. Then when nobody showed up I called and they said. Oh. It will be three days from now. And they STILL didn't show up. I let it go only to find that today they didn't pick it up either. I have to call EVERY SONGLE WEEK. I am telling you do NOT use this company. They will frustrate you to the point of hauling your own trash to the nearest recycle company and paying extra just to not have to deal with their crap.

We have been very happy with Southern for years until now. We have been paying $57 a quarter and another company offered $30 a quarter. I called Southern and they said they would match then when I told her what the other company was offering she said should could not match that she could go to $36. We decided to go with the other company but Southern refuses to give me a refund for the month of Nov. She said it was Southern policy not to give refunds, but she could not provide anything in writing that stated their policies and I do not have a contract with them. She took my number and said the office manager will call me tomorrow. It upsets me that I have been paying $57 all this time and with one phone they were willing to lower the price.
