Sugar Kneads

I love sugar kneads! Their turtles are the best! I bought my sweet 16 cake and 18th birthday cake here. Both exceeded my expectations. They looked great and tasted better. The staff even worked with us to fit them into our budget. yay!

Our experience was so awful we cannot rate it! we are only writing a review in hopes of saving anyone else from our disaster! We ordered a Grooms cake and a wedding cake.. totaling OVER $600 ! The Grooms cake was completely wrong when I picked it up! Then they tried to convince us that Carolina blue dries navy! I talked to the OWNER who told me to put a doily on top of the cake so we could put the topper on it!! The wedding cake.. it just 'turned up'. NO ONE, and the owner told herself she would bring this cake. Which we paid right at $200 for it's delivery! NO one came to us and said we are here with the cake where would you like not asked if it was acceptable. They asked a 'guest' if this one table was the cake table.. as the knife and server were there made if obvious! They put the cake down and just left! How unprofessional. and to be honest the cake was not fabulous tasting.. it was disappointment, especially for $600 .. a cake for $12.99 at Krogers tastes better. BE WARNED

I ordered a cake from Sugar Kneads (the very 1st time I had ever ordered from a bakery). It was for my daughter's 9th birthday. The girl who took my order seemed to be new because she kept asking questions to the person in charge. I specified chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream icing with white swirls. The girl even repeated the order back to me. When my husband went to pick the cake up nearly a week later the day of my daughter's birthday party, it was white buttercream with white swirls. It looked like a wedding cake! When my husband informed them of their mistake, they claimed it was not their mistake, argued with him about it, and said if they added anything to what was already done, it would be an extra charge and he would have to wait a while. I was so disappointed with their lack of professionalism and accountability. To top it off, the icing was hard and didn't taste fresh at all. Don't waste your money at this place. Rude, unprofessional, and poor quality! When your special day is ruined because of them, you will completely regret it!
