Dental Examination
We encourage all of our patients to visit us at least once every six months. During these routine appointments, we will provide a thorough dental cleaning and exam to make sure that your smile is in good health. Depending on your individual dental needs, you may need to come to our office more often.
X-rays
Includes regular cleaning, exam and x-rays for adults and children. Pediatric patients may include fluoride and 2-bite wing x-rays. All other x-rays at additional cost. New patients only.

Fluoride Treatment
Dental Sealants
Sealants and fillings are hardened as soon as they are placed in the child’s mouth. Children can eat or drink immediately after the appointment. However, children who are anesthetized or numb for a procedure have to take special care not to bite or pinch their lips, cheeks, or tongue. In those instances, a soft diet is recommended until the numbness goes away (usually several hours).

Root Canal Treatment
Root canal (endodontic) therapy saves a severely decayed or injured tooth when the soft inner tissue becomes infected or inflamed. The endodontists at Grove Dental specialize in gentle root canal treatments and can help restore a tooth’s function and appearance. Treatment is typically completed in as little as two office visits. With good oral hygiene, the restored tooth has the potential to last a lifetime.

Deep Cleaning
Gum disease is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults. Maintaining regular professional dental cleanings and exams coupled with good daily oral hygiene, is the best prevention for gum disease. However, when gum disease progresses, patients may require more advanced treatment to eliminate the infection and preserve natural teeth. Our in-house periodontists work closely with patients to prevent and treat gum problems. Scaling and root planning, gum grafting, periodontal plastic surgery, laser treatment, crown lengthening and dental implants are just a few services we offer to restore gum health.

Dentures
The purpose of a temporary crown is to protect the tooth and to prevent other teeth from shifting into the space. Exposure of the tooth is not an immediate dental emergency. If comfortable doing so, the patient may replace the temporary crown using a small amount of Vaseline or denture adhesive until they see the dentist. The patient may experience sensitivity from an exposed tooth if the tooth has not had a root canal because the pulpal tissue is vital. A temporary crown should not be off for more than a few days because shifting of the surrounding teeth may occur.
