Carmela Davis CPA PLLC

I've used Carmella Davis CPA for 7yrs. I've always been very happy with this office until recently.
Im a small business owner & I'm in the process of buying a home. The lender asked for a simple short form P&L statement from my CPA.
I contacted them with my request & I was told it would be ready for me to pick up in a couple of days. I waited 3 days, and then I went by their office. Upon arrival I was told it would be the next day.
I went by their office today at 2pm on a Friday. I had not heard from them, but it being the end of the business week. I just knew it would be done. It's day 7 and it is NOT done!!
Today is May 15 & this is the reason they gave to me for not having it ready.
I was told that a lot of people get tax extensions & it all had to be finished by today.
I'm being told it will be done on Monday. I have no choice other than wait on them. They have all of our business information or I would go somewhere else.
This has pushed our closing date for our home back a week.
They should've been upfront in the beginning & said it would take 7 days. My VA Lender is wondering what's up? If your looking for a good place to do your taxes? I have to say I would recommend them, but I would definitely get a confirmation date on anything you do with them & make them stick to it. They're still charging me full price for the Profit/Loss statement.
I don't think they feel that they've done anything wrong? My inconvenience means nothing to them & they've shown no concern at all about my need for this to be done in a timely manner.
If they had not said it would be a couple of day's, it would be different.
They're the ones who gave a timeline. A day over it is ok, but 5 days later....
Not even an apology!!!
I could put the names of who I'm actually dealing with in this review, but I'm not!!
I will add this...
Carmella Davis herself cannot be blamed here. This has nothing to do with her.
She looks over all work done by others & doesn't sign off on anything until she looks over it carefully & she has saved us a lot of tax dollars!!
She has no clue that a client of 7yrs has been waiting 7 days for something they were told would be done in 2 days!!!!
