I went to a dinner at a friend's house in a building Bershon Realty owned in West Los Angeles on Overland Avenue. You could hear someone walking around upstairs the entire dinner. The footsteps were so looooooooud and annoying, it was hard to enjoy the meal she worked so hard on.



The building must be real old and you could hear footsteps real loud from the unit above in every room. I asked who owned the building - definitely felt sorry for my friend and said I'd post to warn others. I guess she just has to wait out her lease and felt cheated and said other tenants had the same problem. buyer / renter beware.

I was just transferred for my job, so I had to move to a different city, but I have nothing but good things to say about Bershon Realty. They maintain the building beautifully. Whenever something wasn't right in my apartment they always came out immediately to see what the problem was about had it fixed within a day or two. As for the security deposit, I don't know that that other reviewer was talking about...he must have left his apartment in a mess. They gave me all of my security deposit back, less a small amount of cleaning, but I left it pretty dirty. Honestly, I was surprised that they didn't deduct anything, because they certainly could have. I would definitely rent from them again, and I would if I ever move back.

Be very very careful before renting from them. They are simply thieves. When you move out, they will keep ALL of your security deposit. They will find ways to keep it all even if it doesn't make any sense. a scratch on the wall? 300 dollars! you returned your keys?..doesn't matter, another 200 for changing the lock. A light bulb missing? they will change the whole lamp and charge you 150 dollars.

It is just UNBELIEVABLE. I have dealt with many realty companies and never saw this.

Also, note that they give you ZERO days tolerance for paying your rent, even if you mailed it on time. If they didn't receive it on the 2nd of the month, you get a notice of eviction! come on now!

Anyway, I'm simply hoping to warn someone like me about them. I wich I had known!
