Bottega Louie 9th Street

Feels like this restaurant (in an old bank in downtown L.A.) was plucked off the streets of Paris. Only one problem with it's high-vaulted ceilings are the acoustics — it's LOUD in here. Great food (mostly Italian and small plates, but love their pizzas and brunch menu) and they've got an insane selection of fancy pastries and macarons at the front. I don't think they take reservations, which is a pain, and was bummed when the chic tending bar recently "suggested" a champagne that was $45 a glass without telling us the price!
