Dear Richard:

Back in July 4, 2010 I spoke to Richard at Cyberdefender and became a premium member for 299.00 for 1 year. At that time I was promised a 25.00 gift card and 25.00 voucher. I was emailed the form which I completed and mailed to Cyberdefender Corporation Attn: Gift Card Department 617 W 7 Street Suite 401 Los Angeles, California 90017 as indicated on the form. Finally, I received 2 cards to be completed and returned. As of this writing I have not received my card or voucher. On November 12, 2010 I called and spoke to Celia who took my complaint. Yesterday I received 2 more cards in the mail which leads me to believe that either Celia did not understand me or this is a scam. I will give Cyberdefender a chance to rectify this problem before I pursue other avenues and business practice reporting agencies. Presently, I am on the phone still holding after 11 minutes 18 seconds to speak with a customer services representative.

My computer was so slow and frustrating! Jared at Cyberdefender assured me they could alleviate the problems. They found several infections, numerous problems that I was not aware of, and cleaned up my system in a few hours. Superb service. Thank you. I recommend this service whole-heartedly. Cyberdefender took $29.99 from my account twice for the same product.



I phoned the number listed on the website (1-877-377-37650) as soon as I realized that I had been double billed for the program. A recorded voice with a heavy accent told me to call another number if I had billing questions (1-866-793-0494). When I called that number, the call appeared connected on my phone but there was no one on the line. I called again. Again no one responded when the call connected.



I can only imagine what you'd run into if you had a problem with the program itself...



They also said the account was for one year's service. The renewal date was listed three days short of one year. WTF.
