Arthritis
Arthritis can come in many forms; osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and psoriatic arthritis to list a few. It occurs when the cartilage in your knee degenerates and can lead to chronic inflammation, neuropathy, and pain. This can lead to pain with activities reducing exercise activities and fitness further worsening pain.
Nutritional Counseling
In addition to the core described above, other therapies incorporated include massage therapy, nutritional counseling by a nutritionist who also has a PhD in psychology, chemical dependency detoxification and treatment, chiropractic, hypnosis, restorative yoga, and occasional acupuncture. One important aspect of this multidisciplinary care is that each provider, regardless of their discipline, acts truly as a therapist working as a member of the team.

Internal Medicine
Dr. Prager holds four Board Certifications including two in Pain Medicine. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Pain Medicine. Three of his Board Certifications are through the American Board of Medical Specialties and the fourth is through the American Board of Pain Medicine.

Stress Management
After a successful rehabilitation period, the patient should have improved pain management, experience improvement in coping and stress management, improved endurance and stamina, family involvement, and autonomy in planning for the future.
Depression

Ultrasound
Interventional procedures that are performed include transforaminal epidural injections, catheter guided procedures, facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablation of the nerves to the facet joints, neuroplasty, minimally invasive lumbar decompression, discography, intra-discal procedures, intercostal nerve blocks, lumbar sympathetic blocks, stellate ganglion blocks, celiac plexus blocks (both local anesthetic and neurolytic), ganglion impar blocks, hypogastric plexus blocks, and splanchnic plexus blocks. Protein enriched plasma (PRP) techniques are available but not emphasized. Ultrasound guided treatment of musculoskeletal problems are provided in office.
MRI
Dr. Prager’s clinical practice focuses on CRPS, neuromodulation, and precision spinal diagnostics and therapeutics. He has run an active ketamine infusion for the last years and has administered over 2300 ketamine infusions. Since 1998 he has managed a comprehensive interdisciplinary functional rehabilitation program designed to return normal function to patients with complex regional pain syndromes and other pain problems that involve central sensitization. He is currently participating in a research study examining brain activity before and after ketamine infusions utilizing functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
Chemotherapy
Those suffering from neuropathic pain have limited options for treatment. Neuropathic pain can include damage to nerve fibers or tissues, characterized as a burning sensation. There is no definite overall cause for neuropathic pain, but it is associated with several conditions such as chemotherapy, diabetes, and shingles.
Iontophoresis
The physical therapies are multimodality physical therapy conducted by a group of Masters level or Doctoral level physical therapists each with an area of subspecialty. Often patients are shared by different physical therapy providers as patients progress through the treatment algorithm and require different specialties consistent with their progress. Areas of specialization include graded motor imagery, mirror box therapy, Alexander technique, Feldenchrist, Pilates, desensitization, hydrotherapy, cardiovascular training, and hardening. Modalities such as transcutaneous nerve stimulation (TENS), ultrasound, and iontophoresis are employed.

PRP has a greater concentration of growth factors than your regular blood. It’s been used to enhance the healing response of patients spanning across a vast array of fields and specialties, including medical, dental, orthopedics, aesthetic enhancement, as well as dermatology.
