It provides special sports products for men and women, such as apparel, footwear, base layers and other sports accessories. The company has been distributing in the United States since 1981. It sponsored the U.S. National Team that won nine gold medals in the 1984 Olympic Games and several major trade teams during the mid-eighties. In 1991, Pearl Izumi USA Inc. gained the licensing and distribution rights to essentially the entire world with the exception of Asia.
