        Dr. Lefta joined Norton Medical Group in 2017 after completing pediatric residency training at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk, VA. During her training, Dr. Lefta was the recipient of the Rubio/Koehl Resident Teaching Award and the Outstanding Scholarship in Allergy and Immunology Award. Dr. Lefta is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Lefta's goal is to provide quality, compassionate, comprehensive and individualized care for all her patients. Dr. Lefta is passionate about patient education, healthy eating and exercise.         Our first daughter came into the world a little over 6 months ago and Dr. Mellani Lefta was the very first pediatrician to look at her and we knew from the moment we met her that she was honest, extremely kind, caring and just an overall good person, not to mention a wonderful doctor. Her staff is wonderful and helpful getting us in quickly when our little ones are sick.She never rushes us & listens to our concerns and answer all of our questions that we have .we are so fortunate we have found her.We definitely Recommend her to everyone .
