The Brook Hospital – Dupont

My nameis Debra Maher and I was in the Brooke Hospital for most of the summer of 2010. The care and treatment I received was the worst any one could experience. I had a Doctor named Doctor Spears who did not care about me at all. I had been very sick and he knew it and did nothing about it. They took my blood and had to know I had a staph infection called MSRE he told me I had an urinary track infection. I could not get up out of bed and the Doctor and the nurses who were awful as well would scream at me everyday to take a shower. I could not get up out of bed. My head was very dizzy and I could hardly walk. They made me walk the halls because I had a dangerous low blood pressure. Being I have had MSRE I have been treated for and now they think I may have chronic myeloid leukemia which is in my blood. I will know in a week. I cannot tell you how negligent the Brooke was. Their is a Social Worker named Maria who at first was willing to help me and than something happened to her and she turmed on me. It was the worst place I think any one could be in. Dr. Spears even took me off a medication that I need to take for anxiety and when I got home it did not take long for my anxiety attacks to come back. I just want everyone to know what kind of a hospital it is. I saw a five star rating. I would not even rate them because their is nothing good I have to say. I cannot understand how someone can be as sick as me and a hospital does nothing about it. They released me when I was very sick. I can also tell you that I received the same treatment from the University of Louisville, Jewish Hospital, Norton's Hospital and Central State. I was in UofL and Central State and was sick as well and they too did nothing to help me. People should know that hospitals just do not care. I don't have anything good to say about any of them since I went to get help and they would not do anything. I might not be so sick today if I had gotten help years ago when I tried through hospitals and many doctors. Thank you.
