North Country Trail Association

I recently explored a part of the North Country Trail in Lowell, MI and fell in LOVE with it. I never even knew it existed until a friend of mine was assigned to do a group meeting on the association. We went to simply to check it out and get a "feel" for it. I'll be honest we didn't plan on hanging out long; after starting the trail though we couldn't get over how beautiful it is and well cared for. We ended up hiking it for well over an hour. The little pieces of information we kept picking up on trail markers were interesting as well. Like the fact that the trail runs through 7 states! Need-less-to-say we will definitely be involving "the trail" in our regular routines from now on. Whether you're just looking for a day-time stroll or an avid hike I would highly suggest checking it out. I know we're looking forward to planning an expedition to cross at least one state line. ;)
