Divorces are hard, but they don’t have to be traumatic. This divorce lawyer helped me through the whole process, which I appreciate so much.

To be honest, some lawyers would tend to take advantage of the situation and overcharge their clients, but these guys were thorough professionals. No overcharging. Satiable service. About the lawyer, excellent listening skills, ethical and knowledgeable. Best in the business!

Not good. Oh, he is great at getting a hold of BEFORE he has your money. But afterwards is another matter. He tells You next to nothing about what is happening with your case. And the little he does is because you called him to ask. He dosn't tell you how much you have been billed at any point. Not once did he EVER call me in 6 months for any reason. I had to call him consistently to find out what was going on with my case. Each time he or the lawyer I was transferred to without being told became harder and harder to get a hold of until he completely stopped talking to me at all. it even took my new Lawyer 3 weeks of calling to get the info on my case and my refund back from him.
And it wasn't like I was calling every day either.. If you waited 6 weeks without hearing from your lawyer at all and when you called him to ask what was happening and you found out you had been transferred to another lawyer and the new lawyer barely knew who you were, had no idea what your case was and tells you it hasn't been worked on since I last called and he has no idea why, wouldn't you call a little more frequently too? All he had to do was file with the court and serve the papers. Why did that take 5 months and he never served the papers?
Not to mention coming in to sign some papers and having to wait in his office for 30 minutes while he is on the phone with his contractor thats working on his house. Or talking to the new lawyer assigned to my case and having to tell him everything all over again that I told Eliot because Eliot didn't write any of it down in my folder. Including but not exclusive too my sister's lawyers contact info and what I was actually looking for in my suit. I actually learned more about what was going on in my case from my sister's lawyer than from Eliot.
Oh, Eliot couldn't remember if he spoke to my sisters lawyer or not. He did. Only because my sister's lawyer called him after I gave him Eliot 's contact info. But Eliot and or his firm never bothered to tell my sister's lawyer what I was looking for in my suit. LOL.
He wanted double the retainer and charged a lot more /hour than my new lawyer and I feel when I got my bill back, was overcharged for the amount of work he actually did on my case. Basically nothing in 5 months. The thing he billed me most for was research. Research my assayer gave him on his assessment of the house. All he did was take that info from the assayer and put it on his own form and charged me 3 hours for it. LOL. It took him 2 months after I signed the paperwork to file it with the court and as of today, it's been another 2 months since he filed it with the court and the papers still haven't been served. Well, not true exactly. My new lawyer got the case from him today and served the papers before the day was out. What was Eliot and his firm waiting for for so long?
Be prepared, he talks a good game. Makes some bold promises up front like any good snake oil salesman and then proceeds to come through with none of the promises he made.
