Meadowmere- Madison Assisted Living Community

On first appearance, it looks like a nice place. For $3800.00 a month my father-in-law lives in a small one bedroom apartment, is allowed 2 meals a day and is charged $7.00 for each additional meal. They do a nice job cleaning his apartment and and send assistants to bathe him once a week. There is additional charges for laundry service, dilivering your meal to your apartment, $30.00 per day if you need medication management and a host of other nickle and dime charges if you want additional services. The food is NOT fine dining OR home cooked as advertised. It is institutional quality (canned/frozen) bulk food items. They DO NOT taylor food preperation (as advertised). You get what's on the menue, or you don't eat at all. Rate increases over $100.00 each year so far, and reduced services are what you get. High turn over of CNA's and care providers, and they are always short on staff. One resident shared how they had to "buzz" for 20 minutes to get help out of the shower! If you're looking for assisted living, this is not the place for the prices they charge or the service quality they provide.
