The worst I have ever dealt with, been waiting since noon, now 6:05pm, after 5 calls to the offfice and three chas online, tech called and asked if I reall needed the work done today?

have had 3 service calls with ARS...they were late to two of them. When you give someone a 5-hour window and can't be bothered to call and let them know you won't be arriving till 10 p.m., you are not a responsible company and I cannot recommend them. The attitude of their customer service team was also defensive when presented with this issue.

Absolutely horrible customer service and most importantly, integrity. The tech guys will lie straight to your face to avoid working on your AC when they don't feel like it, perhaps because its under warranty and they don't get any money out of it. They claim it'll take a whole week to get "parts" to replace the vent control, which is, according to multiple HVAC techs I spoke with after, no operational AC servicing business will go without that part available in stocks. Not to mention that I had the pleasure to listen to the administrative gal make fun of the tech's last customer on the phone while he was working on the AC. This is way below standards for a respectful business, and it shows in their attitude. I would never use them if they didn't carry the builder's warranty.

Jon B was our technician on a same day A/C repair. Very professional, pragmatic, and thorough, Jon was able to diagnose the issue, make the repair (burned out capacitor on outside unit), and re-test the system within 20mins. We have been with ARS for a few years now. We decided to replace a builder grade our heating and cooling unit. Never had on done before so I can't compare price, but they were the cheapest of the three estimate. I have dealt with several of their tech and like Travis Swint the best. He is always friendly and willing to help me understand the new system and the new Whole House Stream Humidifier. In our 15 years here in Northern VA, I have to deal with a lot of HVAC companies. ARS is up there above the rest. Prices for their service is not the cheapest nor the most expensive.

ARS has always been the quickest service I can find for any AC or heating problem. Their repair men are always courteous and kind and today the gentleman was very helpful in teaching me how to better use some of the unknown features of my thermostat. I don't know about price, but he was way cheaper than the plumber I had come out today to do half the work.

A/C went out in mid august and they came out quickly and had the unit repaired in under an hour.

Just wanted to write this review to caution all readers about ARS. I personally was suckered in by their Valpak coupons, which you probably have received in the mail if you are in their service. Some of them may state "20% off" or "Free Diagnostic Fee" with any service repair. Anyhow be cautious of this because is a tactic to get them into your house and then price gouge you. Often it is at a time when you are most vulnerable, which is often the case when your A/C breaks down or your heater fails ( always seems to be on the hottest or coldest day of the year), etc- What I believe ARS banks on is the fact that once they are at the house- 1) they can charge anything they want because you are vulnerable (If you request a quote in advance, they will tell you "We need to send a technician to your house to give you an estimate) or 2)
You do not know how much it really costs to make that repair. In my case, my AC fan motor broke down on the hottest day of the summer, and finding an AC repairman was tough that day.. Suckered in by the Valpak coupon for a "free diagnostic" ARS quoted me $752 dollars to replace my 1/5 HP fan motor and I was put on the spot to make a snap and rash decision. After the repair and doing some research I was astounded to find out that this is a part that is under $150 and it took all of 15 minutes to perform the labor. Biggest mistake I've made it a long time and all I can say is that I was burned. Hope I can save someone else from getting ripped off w/ this post.
