Best Friends Animal Hospital

I just brought my cat, Mimas, to see Dr. Zimmerman at Best Friends Animal Hospital. The staff from start to finish are amazing. They were all compassionate, caring and very good with both my cat and I. I had read a number of reviews online about this location, and I am glad to say they are all right: This is the best location to bring your pets. Tests were performed on site within a few minutes (Mimas needed a urine test) and further procedures recommended (neuter). Options were given for his care, and I believe all were necessary with no up-sell. A good, truly ethical and exceptional vet. Cost effective, answer all questions completely and provide some great information. I left knowing more, and with no qualms about leaving my cat in their care. If you have an animal, this is where I would highly recommend to get their care.

I have known Kristi Zimmerman since the late 1990's. We had worked together at a veterinary practice ... Kristi was a vet and I was the hospital manager. During that time, I found that Kristi cares deeply about her patients and their owners. I left the practice to pursue another career and Kristi moved on to another practice. My pets and I followed her ... even when it meant that I had to drive 1 1/2 hours! I was thrilled when she opened her own practice in Manchester. To some the name "Best Friends Animal Hospital" means that it is a hospital to take your "best friend" to but I think it says that your pet see the Best (Vet) Friend every time you visit! Kristi Zimmerman is not only the best vet for my pet but she is also a good friend. I whole-heartedly encourage you to visit her practice - I know you will soon feel the same as I do. I moved here form Florida about 5 1/2 years ago, leaving behind a vet that I loved and trusted. We had tried several doctors before finding Dr. Zimmerman, who at that time was practicing in Brentwood. The strong connection that developed for both us and our animals was immediate and obvious. Sydnie, one of our shelties, endured several serious medical problems that left her weary of vets. During that first visit, she let us know that we had found the right person. Sydnie, who usually shakes and hides behind us, was perfectly at ease as Dr. Zimmerman, who sat on the floor greeting and reassuring her new patient. Dr Zimmerman showed genuine affection and compassion as she interacted with Sydnie while conducting the examination. Shelbie our other sheltie, who is deaf from birth and afraid of everything, also loves Dr. Zimmerman. Shelbie even thinks that the bed in the exam room is her own! Frank and Jodie S cont.

I have known and used Dr. Zimmerman as my family veterinarian since 2001 when I got my first service dog. Through the last 9 years, she has cared for my Otterhound until he passed away last year. Therefore, it is no surprise that she remains as our family vet for my new service dog, Cozy who is an Australian Labradoodle. She truly cares for the patients she treats. My Otterhound would be so excited when we were getting close to the hospital. And now with Cozy, Dr. Zimmerman continues to provide an easygoing but skillful touch during office visits, thereby keeping my dog calm and in the "zen zone". Her clinical and diagnostic skills are excellent and Dr. Zimmerman's animal hospital is well appointed to handle most general surgeries and diagnostic lab tests inhouse. Best Friends Animal Hospital sets the bar for excellence. The veterinary technicians mirror the compassion and competence of Dr. Zimmerman. As a longtime client, I highly recommend this veterinary practice.
