Best Salty Spicy Shrimp I have ever tasted. The Bonsai Peking Ravioli's can't be beat and the House Fried Rice is a winner every time. Top all that off with the Bonsai house blend Scorpion bowl and you have a meal and drink that will keep you coming back again and again. Wonderful staff, prompt service and lovely updates make this hidden gem worth the drive from anywhere.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We are so disappointed. We so enjoyed the old Spatt's and were regulars. We loved the feeling there, it was kind of like Cheers, everyone knew our name. It was wonderful, homey, friendly, inviting, although was terribly decorated... we had many parties, friends, etc meet us. We knew all the staff and I even got in trouble for getting my own popcorn. It was great. Well, we have since moved south and hadn't been in a couple years. We convinced some friends to take the trip there and described it as I did above, Plus the prime rib was to die for, just melt in your mouth! We were excited. We walked in and I was shocked, NO ONE was there, the tables were empty and already reset. What happened? This was a place you had to wait to get in to! We were seated behind the bar. They were cold, the waitress I knew from the days were were there all the time. She was uninterested, no interest in talking with us, even walked away several times as I was talking with her. It wasn't busy! That's one of the parts we loved about this place before. It made you feel welcome, that they really appreciated your business. I became more disappointed. I was embarrassed now that we had convinced our friends to come all this way! To make matters worse, we ordered the former Clydes cut, which is no longer... it was luke warm and dry. I had to soak it in the au jou sauce to get any moisture back and it didn't do it justice. She came to ask how things were, I just looked up at her. She says, "its the same cook, nothing is different" Well it was. I said it was okay. She walked away. It was awful. Even worse, my husband now has food poisoning, about 24 hours after. He kept saying something didn't taste right last night! Sad, we will NEVER go back. It has lost its charming people, you would think old customers (there were 3 old waitresses there - and Cindy, the former owner who always has a scowl on her face). Nothing, not a thanks for coming in, nice to see you... and we loved the food. So sad, deeply disappointed. Goodbye old Spatts, we had many awesome memories with you. Matty, we miss you!
