At the end of the day, we have a soundly constructed deck, BUT I could not recommend Mike and his crew to anyone based on repeated and uncorrected attention to detail issues and a lack of integrity in regard to the fulfillment of contractual obligations. Each progressive township inspection raised code compliance issues that I had already mentioned but was put off. We had agreed SunEquity would install a pergola, but their initial attempt demonstrated that they did not know how to do that. Even after providing design examples they struggled with requirement. They cut corners at every turn, attempting to use low grade materials, and then leaving pencil marks, construction labels, and rough edges everywhere.



At closing, Mike promised to clean all that up and promised to complete the "forgotten" electrical work after the inspector left. Instead, as soon as the inspector left, Mike dismissed his crew, and told me since the electrical work was not detailed in our work statement he wanted more money. Enough I said. I chose to pay him to leave rather than demand he finish the work.
