        Save a pet!

        The Dare County Animal Shelter provides wonderful attention for the cats, dogs, gerbils, ferrets & bunnies in its care! The animals, and their cages and play areas are clean, and the animals receive as much attention as the small staff can provide. If you can not adopt a pet, you can always volunteer and play with the animals so they stand a better chance of being adopted.



        My children and I enjoy the company of some wonderful furry creatures every week and what a joy it is to learn that our 'favorite' from last week, found its family. Maybe our attention helped just a little bit.
