Anytime Fitness

We joined the club with our entire family plus a friend so a total of five members. Remember that we all signed up together but we now have two different contracts with two different dates. Here are the emails to the owner Mr Todd Devine.................................. To: My name is Earnest Lawrence. I recently had our contract expire at your Marietta location. We spoke with the gentleman at the store and supposedly had cancelled all of our family as we are back into tae kwon do and no longer needed the services from your gym. Our two contract numbers were 2961-30508 and 2961-305. Both of these contracts were to be cancelled at that time, May 28, 2011. We since have been having $40 a month taken out of our checking account. When we called at first we were told that it was just an oversight and that it would be taken care of. When it continued we went in to the gym and were told that we needed proof that it was still being taken out of our account. We went back in with the checking account statements and were told that we had to talk to the manager, who was not there at the time. The manager called me this morning and told me that there was nothing that could be done because what I am telling her is only hearsay. Please check your logs, no one from my family has entered your gym since May 28th other than to dispute the charges........................... I have tried diligently to get this handled with your Marietta location to no avail. I would like for my money to be refunded to me starting with the Jun 2011 payment........................ Reply:......................... Earnest, Sorry to hear you are leaving the club. We appreciated your business. I too do Tae Kwon Do and understand the demands of the sport. I'm sorry you stopped using our club in May but the secondary members have a membership til end of September. The agreement was to end on Sept. 28th. Due to us having so many members, all membership cancelations need to be in writing. This is for our records and ABC Financials records. I spoke with my manager and she has confirmed that all of the memberships have been canecelled going forward. Best regards Todd.........................................
