In good conscience, I cannot recommend Courageous Journey PLLC in Martinsburg to any adult or child seeking any level of counseling. They fail at recognizing the importance of family dynamics when counseling children and allow minor children to guide sessions, often without planning any outcome or goals. They lack the knowledge to diagnose and create a treatment plan and believe that counseling for a lifetime is healthy. The counselors do not see the ethical issue of treating multiple members of the same family, often interchanging counselors. They are quick to recommend Neurofeedback therapy, also often without any set goals in mind.
