P.S. 153 Maspeth Elem is an educational facility that consists of teachers, parents and more than 1,300 students in prekindergarten through grade six. Its academic curriculum helps in the cognitive, creative and social growth of children. The school also offers a gifted and talented program and special education classes. It additionally operates peer mediation, conflict resolution and inclusion programs. The school s reaching out program emphasizes the values of understanding, cooperation and respect. Its extended day tutorial programs are available in the areas of language arts and math. P.S. 153 Maspeth Elem works in partnership with the Little Orchestra Society, Kiwanis Club of Maspeth, New York Newsday and the Ethos Percussion Group and is located in Flushing, N.Y.
