Mark earned his Associates of Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Suffolk Community College in 2021. He completed his clinical affiliations in acute care as well as inpatient and outpatient orthopedics. Mark completed his final clinical rotation under the supervision of Patrick Keller at our Centereach location and has been a full time employee ever since. Outside the office Mark loves leading an active lifestyle and enjoying the outdoors.

Robert Spagnoli graduated from Upstate Medical Center Physical Therapy Program in Syracuse, NY with high honors and completed his Masters Degree in Health, Management and Technology in 2001 at Stony Brook University. He also received his Baccalaureate Degree from Albany University prior to this while majoring in biology and chemistry. Robert has completed extensive continuing education in the area of orthopedics, manual therapy, and sports injuries. He has earned two specialty certifications including Manual Therapy Certification in 1990 through the Institute of Graduate Health Sciences and Certified Functional Manual Therapist in 1997 through the Institute of Physical Art. He has also been a primary instructor since 1990 for two orthopedic spinal courses- Cervical Thoracic Integration and Lumbo-Pelvic Integration. These are advanced courses taught to physical therapists on the national level for continuing education credit. Robert has also been an Adjunct Professor in the Stony Brook University Physical Therapy program teaching spinal orthopedics. In his years of experience he has developed a treatment approach that is eclectic and includes manual therapy, muscle re-education, functional retraining, exercise, and patient education. His goals of treatment are to restore movement to the injured region, educate the patient to mange their injury and prevent future injury. This philosophy of treatment is consistent throughout both of his physical therapy offices and has provided a formula for success. He is owner of Spagnoli Physical Therapy with locations in Centereach and Mastic. Robert is active in the community and enjoys lecturing on various topics regarding injury and injury prevention to local organizations and sports teams. He enjoys the outdoors and has many hobbies including golf, cycling, hiking, skiing, and mountaineering.

Aquatic Therapy
Diane Nicholson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy with Honors from the university of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas in 1987. She continued on with her education to receive a Masters of Science degree in Health Care Technology and Management from SUNY at Stony Brook in 1993. Throughout her career, Diane has worked in various clinical settings to include private and hospital-based outpatient departments, skilled nursing homes, assisted living facilities and home care settings. These varied environments have afforded Diane the unique opportunity to evaluate and treat a diverse patient population. Over her decades long career, Diane has completed extensive continuing education in outpatient physical therapy in the areas of orthopedics, sports injuries, vestibular rehabilitation, hand rehabilitation, aquatic therapy and osteoporosis management. Diane is a mother to three grown children and because of their participation in recreational and competitive sports while growing up, she is well acquainted with the “growing pains” associated with adolescent sports. Outside of work, Diane enjoys hiking, skiing, reading Scripture and cooking homemade meals for the family.
Manual Therapy
Using the principles of Osteopathic Manual Medicine, our skilled therapists will use soft tissue mobilization, myofascial release and joint mobilization/manipulation to improve mobility in the musculoskeletal system thereby enhancing the body’s ability to heal.
