Kegonsa Cove

Kegonsa Cove has been under new ownership since the review about the pontoon rental was written. FYI. I love the Cove! It's an awesome, family-friendly place! Owners and staff are super friendly and service is always fantastic. I've never had any problems with their food, and I eat there more than once a week. I've taken many friends and family members there, and they love it as well. You get a lot of food for a great price, and the price of their alcoholic beverages can't be beat. My favorite hangout!

I had to make a review mainly in response to the last person. I have been renting a boat slip at this place the past few summers and frankly I am glad I found it. They have the best steak and eggs for breakfast and I havent ordered anything That wasnt good. I have taken numerous family members and we all feel the same. This place has a family feel and is amazing. The last poster obviously has issues. You can write a negative summary without sounding like a jerk.



Go there. You wont regret it

Worst plate of slop i've ever seen makes me wish i would have had the meal i just gave my dog before i left the house!!!!!! Think i got food poisoning i will never set foot in that dump again and that owner is a complete phony go back to Illinois!!!!!

I made a reservation to rent a pontoon for 8 people. They requested that I pre-pay to hold the reservation. I asked if I could pay when I arrived and they said that was no problem. The day before the reservation date, the high levels E.Coli were brought to my attention. With health concerns, I called Kegonsa Cove for their opinion about the contamination levels because we wanted to swim off the boat. The gentleman on the phone explained that the current levels of E.Coli are common this time of year. At the same time, Lake Kegonsa State park had closed their beaches because of the high levels. He immediately got defensive and brought up the fact that I was the only reservation that didn't pre-pay and that canceling now would upset him. I re-assured him that my phone call was just for his opinion, not to cancel. He continued to argue with me and accuse me of canceling last minute. His next comment was that he was just going to cancel my reservation. period. I pleaded with him to give me an hour so I could double check with my friends. He said I'll give you 30 minutes and if you dont call before, I will cancel. How rude! I would stay away from this place unless you like to be treated like dirt!
