Teeth Cleaning

Fillings
Resin Composite
We only offer mercury-free fillings. Small to moderate-sized cavities are filled with composite resin restorations. Larger cavities are restored with gold or ceramic/porcelain onlays.
Crowns
Root canal therapy is a process in which the nerve of the tooth is removed and filled with inert materials. The root of the tooth remains and requires a crown or cuspal coverage afterwards. Root canal retreatment often will require referral to the endodontist.

Founded in 2002, Kristina T. Nguyen, DDS, PC is located at the corner of International Drive and Greensboro Drive in Tysons Corner, Virginia, on the second floor of the Capital One building. Kristina T. Nguyen, DDS, PC is a general dental practice that offers almost all dental services including pediatric dentistry, implant surgery and restoration, cosmetic dentistry, temporomandibular joint disorders, whitening, root canal therapy, etc. Dr. Kristina T. Nguyen and Ms. Julia Girshevitsky, RDH are proud providers at our practice. We accept almost all dental PPO insurance. Deep Cleaning
For patients with periodontal gum disease, we provide deep cleaning (scaling and root planing), Arestin antibiotic placement into pockets, and limited pocket elimination surgery.

Dental Implants
Dr. Nguyen was born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam. She graduated from University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2001. Prior to starting her own business, she practiced at two different dental offices in Bethesda, Maryland. She and her family love to travel on most of the children’s school breaks. In previous years, she had traveled to Vietnam and taught Implant Surgery and Restoration seminars at the University of Hue School of Dentistry.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
Unlike other general dental practices, we offer both implant surgery and restoration. Implant is a titanium screw that replaces a tooth once it’s removed from the mouth. It is conservative and technique sensitive. For complicated cases requiring ridge augmentation, bone graft or sinus lift, we have excellent Oral Surgery referrals.
