Burger King

I like Burger King. In fact it is probably my favorite fast food place, but if you are in the mood for a whopper in Meadville I suggest going to the Burger king on Conneaut Lake Road, even if it is a bit out of your way. The Burger King on Park Avenue is in a convenient location for me because it is between my work and my home but I am consistently disappointed by my experience when I decide to stop in there.

On more than one occasion I have received the wrong food or missing food, which happens to every one from time to time, and in itself isn't a big deal. On one such occasion however, I became extremely ill when I drank a drink that was supposed to be diet and was not, so the next time I was in I requested the employee double check that the drink was in fact diet because I have an allergy. Not only did she not double check she seemed offended that I even asked. I explained that it was nothing personal that I just wanted to be cautious, she rolled her eyes and said she was sure that it was diet.

The experience I had last night at Burger King however left me feeling so irritated and frustrated that I don't think I want to eat at this particular BK again.

My sister and I walked to Burger King thinking we would get some late night burgers on our way to meet some friends for drinks. It was 11:35 when we arrived and there was a sign hanging right on the door that stated the dining room closes at midnight. I pulled on the door and found it locked. I thought there must have been some mistake so I knocked on the door. No one came to see what we wanted.

My sister and I walked around to the drive-through and knocked there. Still no one came to see what we wanted. A car pulled up to the order point and an employee arrived by the window and took their order. We waited patiently for her to finish waiting on her customer but while she did that she did not even try to make eye contact with us. When she opened the window we asked if we could please come in and order as they didn't close for another twenty minutes. She told us that "Some drunk threw up" and that she locked the doors to clean it up.

My sister said she understood that it was against the rules to order through the drive through since we did not have a car but she could take our order through the door and hand us our food to go, or let us come in to order. She refused and closed her window.

I have never felt so disrespected as a customer. It was just plain inconsideration. Needless to say I do not recommend patronizing the Park Avenue Burger King.
