Each year we've purchased 4-to-6 tons of Turman pellets from Wertz Coal Yard for the past 10 years; Wertz' price is very competitive (-which is good for our budget!), the Turman pellets are the best pellets by far that we've used in the past 20 years, and the Wertz' Staff is very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the products they sell as as well as their customer service. I'll definitely continue to purchase from them!

Love the new owners! They are always friendly and helpful. They have quality coal and wood pellets. They always help us load whether we're buying 1 bag of pellets or a 1 ton of pellets, or a bag or 2 of coal. Miss the previous owner too, but couldn't have asked for better new owners.

This coal company was sold to a new owner last year. Their service is poor, they do not deliver the product you requested and when you call about a problem there is no follow up.

I ordered twice off of them last Winter. The first time when I noticed a difference in the quality of the coal I was told this is what the coal mine sent them. When I order a second time I only did so because they told me they now had the quality of coal I was requesting. Again they did not. I went as far as to have an independent lab test the coal and was told it was anthracite , but on the soft side and it had a 15 to 16 % ash content, that is was not premium coal. What I had originally ordered was White Ash.

I will never order coal from this company again and I recommend that you do not order from them.
