Ridgeway Elementary School

My child is a student a Balmoral/Ridgeway and it's ok. It is an open floor setting which makes it a more difficult for kids to focus on their teacher because they can also hear what the other teachers are saying. If you have a child with attention problems anyway they will have a difficult time. Also the expectations are unrealistic from day one. After a two and a half month summer break children are to come back expected to be on target as of there were no break. To sit in their seats, focus, be alert, and answer the questions correctly. My childs teacher seem to want to give up on him the first week of school saying,"I don't know what we're going to do with him". The first week of school, come on. The school pick up process is a nightmare. There is no order, come when school is out, park where you can, sometimes double parking, and come get your child. There was no information given to the parents as to the pick up process so you kind of went with the flow of what the others were doing. The principal is new and she is a swetheart but some things have got to change. We are looking elsewhere for our child a school. Somewhere with a little more structure.
