        Stage Road Animal Hospital was founded by James R. Pearce, DVM in 1974. Dr. Pearce graduated from UT - Knoxville in 1968 (College of Agriculture) and Auburn University in 1972 (College of Veterinary Medicine.) Dr. Pearce has been caring for athletic dogs, Greyhounds and field trial dogs since 1974 providing them with crucial treatment such as canine ACL surgery. His special interest in orthopedics (bone implants and cranial cruciate ligament repair) has allowed him the opportunity to perform surgery on thousands of cases over the years. Dr Pearce has done TPLO surgeries since 2000 and TTA surgeries since 2008. We accept referrals from veterinarians in Arkansas, Mississippi, as well as all who need dog ligament surgery in Tennessee.

        We are a full service hospital offering a variety of services to our customers from routine vaccinations, annual exams, heartworm testing and treatment, prevention against parasites, and general surgery. We also perform many orthopedic procedures such as the Swiss TTA Cranial Cruciate Ligament, TPLO Cruciate Surgeries and conventional cruciate surgery; spinal surgery for Disk disease; Fracture repair by bone plating.         Overall

        Best orthopedic vet/surgeon around. He does orthopedic surgery on racing greyhounds. He is the most qualified and trained to fix ACL injuries. He fixed my labs ACL injury, both legs, she could not walk, she now jogs. He has the knowledge experience and skill to diagnose and fix any problem that is presented to him. I would not trust my Dogs with anyone else!!
