The Source Public House

The place was busy. We were told we had to wait for a little while to get a table. There was no place to sit and wait until a table became available. It was a short wait and we were seated at a booth. A friendly waitress took our order. I had the New York strip steak and my wife had a pork sandwich. Her sandwich tasted good. My steak was done correctly and was flavored well. The problem with the steak was the grade of meat of they decided to use. It had a lot of fat in Gristle in it. For $24 I expected a better cut of meat.

While we were dining a band started playing. I must be getting old because my wife and I had a difficult time having a conversation because the music was so loud. To me, it would've been a better atmosphere with the music softly playing in the background to enjoy and so conversation was possible. Our table was one of the furthest from the stage.

I am planning on giving this restaurant another chance. The taste of the steak, and it actually being prepared correctly, makes me hope that they get rid of their mediocre cuts of meat.
