Terrible with falsehoods from the beginning. Truck was dropped off Friday night with the promise of 2 day turnaround. No quote was available but I had gotten one from another AAMCO and had a general idea. Victor also said he honored AAA discounts, said not true when bill was presented. Bill states they will charge $450 to R&R tranny with disassembly and examination if they don't do the rebuild. After paying $855 for rebuild, I was charged over $700 labor for the R&R. Finally after multiple calls back, (I was not getting updates/calls as Victor said he would do) two days turned into FIVE. They re-used a damaged dipstick by just shoving it down the filler tube, not sealed or in proper place to check levels. I was told: "If they saw it necessary to replace it, they would have. He also said if you have an issue with it, they would be more than glad to address the concern." I live over 60 miles away! I tried reaching out to the owner through an email I found on here and heard nothing. Corporate was no better. I finally got a phone call at 1 pm on day five, Friday afternoon, saying my truck was ready for pickup. After paying over $3k (after the $100 coupon I printed from online) I finally got my truck back. After all this, the closest thing I got for an apology was a "sorry for the inconvenience" from Victor. No mention of a price cut for the lies, not giving AAA discount as promised or the 3 extra days they kept my truck and I had to figure out how to get it on short notice. We all know what Friday afternoon traffic is like in Miami.
Now am only glad to be away from them and for the written national warranty and my paper trail of all my problems/concerns during this process. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Do your due diligence and research places before you trust them with your bank account and automobile!

Same experience, but luckily I decided to take it elsewhere after seeing the writings on the wall. I was able to do the same repair at Alonso Transmission for almost half of the quote AAmaco provided me with.

Scammers!

First thing first...I want everyone to know that I was very upset when this happened to me and it still took me some time to come on here and do this...so imagine how many other people have had this done and have not taken the time to report it and just gave up...well I’m not...

also look at the "rip off report" online!

I visited the Miami Aamco transmission shop at 7247 Bird Rd and they are all owned by the same individual just to let you know...I got an estimate and I asked them several times what else may arise and they told me nothing and gave me an estimate of 1100 dollars...I so wish I would have taken it to where my dad said.. a local transmission shop only locals new about but I decided to take to the big company with the big ad...boy I was taken for an idiot...all of sudden they call me back and say it will take 3500 dollars to fix my car....I went crazy on them and told them I was going to call the police and they flat out didn’t care...they told me that it is there policy to replace torch converters and other electronic parts on all transmission repairs...how come they did not say this from he beginning.... they are such scammers...anyways the price went down to 2400 after a lot of arguing by some odd reason after talking to the owner...one the car was replaced the transmission broke two days later and my car got all full of transmission fluid bc the gasket blew which caused my paint to get dull and then they did not want to tow my car...

This place is a nightmare...you might as well take your chances at the dealer or the little mom and pop shop your grandfather knows...

Buyer beware

I hope they all go to hell
